Free and Tavala Plus compared
What the free plan and Tavala Plus each include - devices, currencies, spaces, sharing, forecast, reports and banks - and what Plus costs.

Tavala is free to use, with an account or without one. Tavala Plus is an optional subscription that removes the free plan's limits on devices, currencies, spaces and sharing, and opens the forecast, reports and debt tools in full. Bank connections and the Group pass are separate add-ons.

The same on both plans
These are never limited:
- Wallets, transactions, categories, budgets, bills and recurring rules.
- Trips and projects.
- Every debt's payoff date, by snowball or avalanche, and the calculators.
- Working offline.
- The full JSON export of your data, the app lock, two-step verification, passkeys and deleting your account.
A foreign amount on a wallet you already have is never blocked by the currency limit. Typing
taxi 1200 MKD into a euro wallet works on the free plan. The limit counts the currencies your
wallets are held in, per space.
Without an account
A guest has no account, no backup and no sync. Everything stays on the device, and the same 2-currency rule is checked on the device. Plus is bought on an account, so a guest who reaches a limit is asked to create a free account first. Your data moves into the account with you. See use Tavala without an account.

- The web price is one price for everyone, in US dollars. The current list is on tavala.io/pricing.
- In the App Store and Google Play the price depends on your country and can be lower than the web price. The app shows your price on the Plus sheet before you pay.
- The Group pass cannot be bought on the web. Buy it in the iPhone, iPad, Mac or Android app, where the store sets the price.
- The year leads, the month is offered under it. Monthly costs about twice as much per month.
- There is no free trial and there are no discount codes. The free plan is the trial.
Whose plan applies
Plus is per person, so a subscription covers more than your own phone:

One Plus subscription covers every space you own and everyone you invite into them, and the people you invite never pay. A free member of a Plus owner's space gets the full forecast, reports and currencies inside that space. That member's own devices and own spaces stay on the member's own plan. Joining a space someone else owns is always free.
Good to know
- Limits never delete anything. Whatever is over a limit stays visible and becomes read-only. Subscribing again restores everything at once. See cancel Tavala Plus.
- You meet a limit once, where you hit it. The Plus sheet states the limit in one sentence, shows the price and has Not now. For example: "This space holds 2 currencies on the free plan: EUR and MKD. Plus holds every currency."
- Devices on the free plan. Moving the one synced device is free, up to 3 times in 30 days. See devices on the free plan.
