How we compare
Tavala publishes these pages, so they follow rules that keep them fair. We compare only what can be measured and checked on each app's own site: price, the free plan, platforms, currencies, bank connections, offline use, sharing, export and where data lives. Every price carries the day it was checked and a link to the vendor's pricing page, and we check them again every quarter. Where a vendor's pages do not say something, the table says "Not stated" rather than guess. Every page has a section on when to choose the other app, and there is no rating markup on pages about other products.
Where Tavala falls short
The same rules apply to us. Tavala connects to banks only in the United States and Canada, as a paid add-on to Plus. It cannot import data from other apps yet, or bank statements from CSV (debts only). It has no receipt scanner, no Apple Watch app, no Android widget and no chart of net worth over time. It is not a zero-based method, and it is not open source. The App Store and Mac App Store listings are not public yet. If one of these matters to you, the page for the other app says which one to choose.
