Have Ask Tavala log or change something

Ask Tavala can prepare a change for you: several expenses in one sentence, a transfer between your own wallets, a budget, a bill. Every change arrives as a preview, and it is saved only when you tap Confirm.

Make a change

1. Open Ask Tavala with the speech bubbles icon at the top of any tab. See ask Tavala a question.
2. Type what you want, for example log 4.80 coffee and 62.40 groceries today from current account or set my groceries budget to 400.
3. Read the preview. It says what will be saved, with the figures, the wallet and the date. A preview of two or more entries lists each one with a tick box: untick any you do not want.
4. Tap Confirm to save, or Not now to leave everything as it was.
5. Changed your mind? Tap Undo on the card. Undo stays available for five minutes.

What it can do

• Add expenses and income, several in one sentence.
• Move money between your own wallets.
• Record a payment on a debt, split into interest and principal as the payment screen would.
• Edit an entry, or correct a wallet's balance.
• Set a budget, add a recurring bill or income, file entries under a category.
• Start a trip or project, or add a wallet.
• Answer a bank suggestion, such as a possible duplicate or a loan payment.

Good to know

• It never deletes anything. To delete an entry, use the app as usual. See edit, delete and undo.
• The same rules apply as when you do it by hand. A change that your plan or your role in a shared space does not allow is refused the same way.
• Undo of a new trip or wallet archives it, because trips and wallets are archived, not deleted.
• Some bank suggestions are answered on their own sheet. If the card says so, open the entry and answer it there.
